The Mark of the Beast

The closer we get to the time of the mark of the beast, the better we will be able to understand it. I believe that time is not far off and so it is now possible for us to understand the "why" of the mark. That in turn allows us to understand more of the "how" and "what."

We also know the time is close because Satan's minions have begun to preach that it will be acceptable to God for at least some Christians to take the mark.

Understanding the mark and its acceptance by secular society comes from understanding that it will be seen as a solution to a major problem of mankind. We know the mark is tied to the commerce system. So, it will solve a problem with commerce.

The biggest problem in commerce is identity fraud. As more of our transactions become electronic and the world becomes a cashless society, it becomes more important to ensure the identity of the payer.

The weakness in the commerce system is that the credit card that is pulled from a pocket could belong in some other pocket. There is nothing that ties the card to the holder other than possession - and that's nothing. In the past there might have been a picture on the card but now we are moving to cardless transactions and teller-less transactions.

What's needed is a way to tie the credit card, actually the number, to a person so it can't be stolen or copied. The answer is to embed a single number right into a person's skeleton in a way that it can't be removed. It's also necessary that it be embedded in a single place so a person can't have multiple numbers.

Also, only that embedded number could be used. All other credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, etc. would have to be discontinued. If they were still usable the commerce system would still be flawed. The use of cash would also be stopped, mostly because governments like the idea of tracking every transaction. Absolutely everyone must be included; no exceptions.

The logical place for the embedded number is the hand or wrist so it can be held out over a scanner. The hand is a bit delicate for embedding something into a bone so a wrist bone makes more sense. Most people are right handed so the right wrist seems like the best choice. Right or left wouldn't be optional because that would make two numbers possible.

Some people do not have right wrists or arms so there would have to be a special rule for them. If the person didn't have a right wrist the mark would be embedded in the only location that every person MUST have, a head. Embedded in the forehead it would still be fairly easy to lean forward onto the scanner.

Even Amazon purchases from home would use the mark. Likely your mobile device would act as the scanner just as it currently uses NFC for ApplePay, GooglePay, SamsungPay, etc.

If you haven't noticed we have just used reasonable assumptions to derive what the Bible says about the mark,

16. And it will cause all, small and great, rich and poor, Masters and Servants, to be given a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 that no one may buy or sell again except one who has the mark of the name of the Beast or the number of its name." (Rev. 13:16-17)

In my book, in Chapter 12 (Revelation 9), I show Revelation describes how the mark is delivered. As expected, embedding something into the bone is going to hurt for a while.

But the question comes, "why would God hate such a system so badly? It's really just a high tech replacement for the credit card." But Revelation makes it clear that no one will be forgiven for taking it.

The problem will come with what must be agreed to in order to receive the mark. Remember this mark is being given by the second beast on behalf of the first beast. The agreement will likely contain something like the Muslim Shahada "there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah" but it will be more than that.

It will contain a statement that blasphemes the Holy Spirit. "29 But there is never forgiveness to whoever will blaspheme against the Spirit of Holiness, but he is condemned to eternal judgment" (Mark 3:29, also Luke 12:10)

Do not take the mark. You will not be forgiven.
