Problem with the Book

There is a problem with the book, or there soon will be. Newer versions contain an appendix that is not in the first version. The appendix talks about the chronology of Revelation, i.e. the order of events. It also illustrates this by providing a link to a web-page I placed on my DropBox.

DropBox has decided not to support page delivery. Therefore the link in the book will stop working. So I'm going to put the illustration here for the moment.

Without that appendix though the illustration won't mean much. So here is a short description.

One of the greatest problems with Revelation is ordering the events. Many people, maybe most, try to find similar events, accepting that the event can only occur once and therefore the separate descriptions can be be tied together in time.

The result of this is a ball of string. Trumpets overlap Seals and in some cases the order of trumpets and seals has to be changed. At the end it's hard to imagine that this tangled mess is what God intended.

Our God is not the author of confusion.

One thing that came out of this book and the understanding it presents is that Trumpets and Seals are chronologically ordered just as they are read. The Seals come first in the order presented in the text and the Trumpets come next.

The important revelation is that everything after that is part of what Revelation calls "the little book". Everything before that was from the 7 sealed scroll.

In this illustration the little book events are shown in gold. The little book is not chronologically ordered. At the end of time so many events are happening, some over years, that they can't be described in time order. The little book contains those.
