In our hearts

The Bible and Christians often say things like "in our hearts" or "in his heart". These are not references to the biological heart, the one that beats and pumps blood through the body. These are references to the core of our person. Really these are references to what the Apostle Paul calls the inner man, the spirit within us that survives death.
